We're Hiring
Brand Strategist
You are the senior strategic face of BrandExtract to all of your clients and the face of the client to all your team members in the company. As the primary go-between with the C-suite, VPs and Marketing Managers, you play the most critical role in creating and leadings strategic plans, while you over see the programs, and your team handling the amazing deliverables.
What you do...
Conduct marketing, client and competitive research including voice of the customer interviews
Develop strategic plans and proposals
Lead market studies
Facilitate client discovery meetings and workshops
Create brand assessment reports
Pitch and close business with partners
Lead and collaborate with Project Managers to turn execution plans into individual projects with oversight of high level schedules and guidelines for success
Develop or direct creative briefs/work orders in collaboration with the creative team
Kickoff projects and effectively brief teams on project goals and requirements
Task weekly activities of Brand Managers to ensure projects are on strategy, on time and within budget
Establish and maintain regular communication with clients, consulting and guiding them through the process
Document and distribute information from meetings to keep all stakeholders on the same page and ensure everyone has the appropriate action items
Serve as the strategic “go to” resource for all questions on client projects
Work with the Creative Director to present and defend all proposals and creative work to clients
Oversee all project billing informing Accounting what to bill, reviewing invoices before they go to client and working with client to ensure prompt payment

Art directors are responsible not only for the visual style of brands but also in brand innovation. Their days may be filled with strategy sessions, internal approvals and meetings with the design team, as well as design sessions as they work on logos, brand boards, and more. They also work with outside producers and directors to oversee the production of motion/film projects, trade show exhibits, immersive experiences, and physical spaces. Their work requires them to understand the design elements of projects, inspire other creative workers, and keep projects on budget and on time.
What you do...
Provide guidance and leadership on brand design strategy for our clients which may include everything from developing concepts, to design sprints, to how to tactically execute the solution
During the Brand Assessment, contribute to the brand audit (visuals and messaging) and provide insight of competitive landscape to the Brand Strategist
Lead all aspects of design process and application; partnering across teams and ensuring full understanding of briefs/team responsibilities
Collaborate directly with the Brand Strategist and the Director of Brand Experience in developing the overarching brand’s UX strategy
Collaborate directly with Marketing leads to develop cohesive campaigns that are rooted in the brand and run across a variety of platforms (i.e. physical and/or digital)
Determine how best to represent a concept via traditional design means (graphically/visually) and lead the creation of mood boards, key visuals for brand boards and full brand identities
Work with other disciplines within BrandExtract (Creative, Digital Marketing, Development) to execute all pieces and extensions of the brand
Present design strategy, concepts, and visuals directly to the client when required
Quality assurance as design is being applied to digital deliverable
Present design strategies, concepts and visuals to clients for approval
Work with Accounts to develop detailed budgets and timelines
Provide input and guidance on job schedules for creative/branding as they’re being developed
Provide oversight/supervision of the designers as they are working on your job(s) and review/approve what they are working on
Provide guidance and feedback to outside vendors when needed (i.e. illustrators, 3D artist)
Determine or provide guidance on which photographs, art, or other design elements to use
Collaborate and guide outside vendors in the production of motion/film projects, trade show exhibits, immersive experiences, photoshoots and physical spaces
Execute other duties as assigned, including new business pitches, internal agency projects, press checks (if needed), art direction for photo/video shoot
Contribute to agency knowledge sharing (i.e. Insights Articles, Podcast)
Mentor the Junior and Senior Designers on the team
